Dr Patrick assisted us during a time of stress and misgiving. Our new adoptee Luca and companion for our older Ellie was showing fear, anxiety and displayed aggression/fight instead of flight during his time of distress. We could not get support from vets, refuges and the rangers. I finally found and contacted Ark Angel Vet who understood our position and educated us. With a heavy heart on 30/10/25 we decided we are not doing the 'wrong' thing. We had to provide safety to our family, the community (while walking in the park) and for Luca. Luca was provided a dignified journey. We miss him. God bless him. Thank you Dr Patrick for proving support and care to our animal babbies and to all of us. Dr Patrick’s guidance, compassion and care will never be forgotten. We said good bye to our cherished doggie family member 17 year old Wallace, in the most beautiful way imaginable. Wallace passed gently, in a meaningful and very special ceremony, surrounded by us all, in the comfort of his home . We couldn’t bear the thought of a clinical goodbye, in the cold surrounds of a surgery, and were very grateful to find Dr Patrick, whose approach is so vastly different, that the two can’t even be compared. We miss Wallace intensely, but take great comfort in the way that we were able to say goodbye to him, when the time was right, and in a final demonstration of love and thanks to him for his many years of companionship and unconditional love. There is no better way, with your final act of love, to farewell your furry friend then with the extraordinary services of Dr Patrick. I've reflected on the ceremony to farewell Chloe and there is nothing I can see to do better. So many extra bits done by Dr Patrick which I would never have thought of. The way he was there and then not, giving us time with our precious girl. I will forever remember Dr Patrick's compassion and care given to all. My beautiful 14 year old American Bulldog Chloe, surrounded by love, was given the care and respect she deserved to find peace. Such an amazing but sad experience. Oh I miss her so much! In conclusion, it was an honour to walk behind the car as Chloe left on her final journey. She was SIMPLY THE BEST. ~ Nancy T

I knew my old boy was getting ready the last few days and I wasn’t ready yet. I woke up this morning knowing I needed to contact Dr Patrick. So I emailed him at the crack of dawn requesting a booking for tomorrow afternoon. My poor Chubb had other plans by 7.30am. He was so tired. But too strong and brave trying to hold on for us. I text Dr Patrick and he was to me by 10.30 this morning. He was able to wait until my husband got home. He talked us through every step. He was so kind and my old boys dignity was never in doubt. Animals are so much better than humans and they aren’t with us nearly long enough. I’m saying that I met a man today, Dr Patrick who’s love for animals and the respect and care he showed us and Chubb, simply made him one of the nicest humans I’ve encountered. Thank you ~ Nicole M

Dr Patrick was an absolute god send. He was so patient. Kept in contact with me before the day and answered any of my silly questions. On the day he was this amazing calm presence in the home. He explained everything and how he would go about this. He gave us as much time as we needed. He let us set the pace. I felt totally comfortable breaking down in tears and hysteria in front of him. Even my very manly proud husband did. I can't explain it but his energy was just so beautiful and calming. He checked in with us for 3 days after it was all done. Checking on how we were doing and reminding us of the blessing we gave our gorgeous boy. He will have a massive piece of my heart forever. Thank you Dr Patrick. We are so incredibly grateful to Dr Patrick for the care, compassion, and kindness he showed our family during one of the hardest moments of our lives. He came to our home to help our beautiful 17 year old girl Bailee cross the rainbow bridge, and from the moment he arrived, he made us feel supported and at ease. He took the time to gently explain every step with such care and empathy, ensuring that myself, my husband, and our three children all felt comfortable and understood what was happening. Bailee’s passing was peaceful, dignified, and filled with love exactly what she deserved. Dr Patrick from Ark Angel Vet provided an incredibly compassionate and personal service when we had to say goodbye to our much-loved 10-year-old Kelpie, Jet. He came to our home to perform a private euthanasia and treated both Jet and our family with the utmost care and respect. What stood out most was the thoughtfulness he showed — picking a kangaroo paw flower and some native plants from our garden to accompany Jet, and using a bowl of water and petals to gently honour him once he had passed. We also had cards to write a note on to tie to his paw for his final journey. It was a peaceful, heartfelt moment that we’ll always remember. Dr Patrick’s empathy and professionalism made an incredibly hard day a little easier to bear. We’re truly grateful for the kindness and dignity he brought to Jet’s final moments. We engaged Dr Patrick to help our beautiful doggo cross the rainbow bridge. We booked the 1-hour service and it went so quick, definetly book this as a minimum! Dr Patrick was so patient, and kind. The process was nice and slow and at our pace, we were able to spend the last moments with our boy at his head. Dr Patrick lit a candle and put it in a bowl with petals, gave us petals to sprinkle over our boy, cards to write him a note, he had extra flowers to add and even added a kangaroo paw with a ribbon from our own garden, so he had something with him from home ♥️ these little things are not something I would have thought about, especially during such a distressing time. I am so so thankful that in my panic to try and find someone on a Saturday morning, without putting my poor boy through the stress of an emergency car ride, that I found Dr Patrick who took us on straight away. I could not believe how much further he went to make such a heartbreaking situation, feel so much better and be so beautiful. Our Simba drifted away so peacefully with his own little memorial, which he deserved to be honoured with in his 19 wonderful years. Dr Patrick brought flowers from his garden for Simba to hug between his paws, with petals sprinkled over him after he passed. I've never come across someone who truly treats your kitty as your beloved family member. Saying goodbye to our beloved Cow was the hardest moment of my life, but Dr Patrick made it one of the most gentle, beautiful, and dignified transitions imaginable. Dr Patrick met us by the river—Cow’s favourite place to swim, sniff, and soak in the sun—and gave us the space to say goodbye on our own terms. Surrounded by nature and love, she passed peacefully in the arms of those who adored her. What touched me most were the small, tender details: the cards we could write notes for her, the delicate flowers he brought to place beside her, and the quiet compassion he held through every step. A few weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to my beloved cat Smokey 💔🌈 But I am so glad that I booked Dr Patrick to come to my home. He was very compassionate, kind, respectful, thoughtful and has great attention to detail: I was given a little bag with Smokey's fur clippings, he provided flowers and little pedals to make Smokey look as beautiful and peaceful as possible, and I got to write a goodbye note that we put around Smokey's paw... I also appreciated the fact that he gave me enough time to say goodbye by leaving my place so I wouldn't feel rushed. It doesn't take away the pain, but at least I know my Smokey went peacefully and from the comfort of his home. I highly recommend Dr Patrick! Thank you for caring so much 🐾🌈 ~ Franzi A

We are so grateful for Dr Patrick's care, compassion and understanding, when we decided to end our little dog's pain. It was the most difficult decision, but there is no other way we could imagine to see our beautiful girl off. We were able to hold her for a long as we needed to, and everything was done with compassion and care. It was peaceful and beautiful and took place in a room of our home that was very special to us. The flowers, candles, messages and card were all very much appreciated. Thank you Dr Patrick for helping us during such a very sad time, and for looking after our beautiful Gizmo so sensitively and carefully. I would highly recommend Patrick for any of his services. Unfortunately I had to put my 16 year old Staffy to rest a month ago, whilst it was the hardest choice and experience to date, Patrick's compassion and expertise made such a tough moment that little bit easier. He assured me it was the right time and gave her the most gracious and peaceful passing. He was attentive , patient and gave us the time time to mourn before we moved onto the next step. His care before during and after was exceptional, it was very genuine and felt as though he was truly there with us through out. He provided us a care package and a card which was a beautiful touch. I just wanted to take time to say thank you to Dr.Patrick who was very helpful and supportive to help me to go through the process of putting my dog in forever peace He visited my home and thanks to him my animal went through the rainbow bridge peacefully - with Euthanasia procedure My beloved Peaches she give us life full of joy and happiness but after long years fighting Diabetes she was tired and ready to leave this place This was my first experience loosing family pet - it’s not easy but hopefully it becomes easier over time . Our girl Lady made such a massive impact on our lives, home and family. It was the hardest thing deciding to let her pass on. We wanted her passing to be as peaceful as possible. We are so thankful for Dr Patrick helping us through this. He showed so much respect, kindness and compassion. Lady passed surrounded by loved ones in comfort. Dr Patrick presence during and after the procedure really helped us too. We have a little boy and he even gave advice on how to help children understand what happened to our girl as well as reaching out afterward to see how we were doing. Cairo was a “Bitza” dog – his forbears including, we think, staffy, jack russell, dachshund and a few more types. He was with us for sixteen years, first as an exuberant, cheeky, smart, loving puppy, then growing up, but still exuberant smart and loving. He thought we were his world and he was ours. Eventually, age sapped his exuberance. He found it hard to walk, slept for hours at a time and lost his love of life. Dr Patrick came to give him a peaceful end. He brought calmness and peace in Cairo’s last hours - to Cairo as well as us. Cairo is now buried in the country, where he used to stampede around and his love of nature. Our old girl had a tough start to life which made her fearful and timid around not only new people, but people she'd met several times or more. My husband and I were both taken aback when she not only let Dr Patrick pet her, but laid down in front of him. We've never seen anything like it. The lead up to saying goodbye to our girl was truly devastating and Dr Patrick guided us through the process with compassion, understanding, patience, and professionalism. She passed away peacefully, on our bed (her favourite spot), looking at my husband and I as we repeatedly told her how loved she was. Although we continue to grieve, involving Dr Patrick has (oddly) assisted us in our healing process, because now we know, without doubt, that we made the right decision. I can't thank you enough for the way you comforted my mother and gently talked her through the process, making her feel at ease with the imminent passing of her beloved dog, Cush. It is very difficult to have to write this, as we suddenly and unexpectedly had to say goodnight to our beautiful blue heeler, Banjo. We could not bring ourselves to take him to the vet, as we have had to do in the past. Dr Patrick’s service minimises the trauma, isolation and confronting nature of a clinical setting, and allowed us to beautifully wish Banjo farewell with a proper memorial, in the comfort of the home he loved so much. Dr Patrick showed us kindness, compassion and understanding as he guided us through a very difficult situation. Whilst we hope to not have to go through this type of pain again, we know that sadly, there will eventually be a time where we will need this type of service again - we will not hesitate to contact Dr Patrick. Dr. Patrick's care and advice for our dog Marley was simply outstanding. His holistic approach to veterinary medicine goes above and beyond simply treating an animal's symptoms. He truly cares about his patients and always takes the time to make sure pet owners understand their pets' conditions and what is necessary for their health. One of the most difficult moments was when we needed to make the decision to euthanize Marley. Dr Patrick's handling of Marley's euthanasia was peaceful and dignified, and he ensured that Marley was treated with the utmost respect. On top of all of this, Dr. Patrick's empathy and compassion for our family was simply unmatched. He truly embodies what it means to be a caring and knowledgeable veterinarian.
